Vernazza's only goal for Arsenal was the winner in a 2-1 Premiership victory against Coventry City at Highbury in September 2000.
Paulo joined Arsenal as a trainee and had his debut against Birmingham City in the Coca Cola Cup on 14 October 1997.
Looking for more first team opportunities, he signed for Watford where Luther Blissett described him as 'one for the future' although, in reality, he quickly established himself as a vitually ever-present member of the side.
Vernazza joined Rotherham United in July 2004 with a two-year contract.
