Nastja Ceh

Date of birth26 January 1978
NationalitySlovene
Weight76 kg
Height1.80 m
PositionMidfielder

One of the youngest members of the squad he is seen as one of the bright hopes in Slovenia for the future. He began at Olimpija Ljubljana before signing for Maribor for the 1999-2000 season. He made his international debut in qualification in October 2001 against the Faroe Islands where he scored two goals. He signed for Club Brugge for the 2001-2002 season and his performances have earned rave reviews. He is an intelligent left footed playmaker, deadly from set pieces and although he may only take part from the bench he is the long-term replacement for Zlatko Zahovic.

Nastja was sent-off in Slovenia's final game in the 2002 World Cup when they lost 3-1 to Paraguay.
