Height1.85 m
PositionDefender/Centre back

Michael joined Chelsea as a trainee and moved up to the first team, playing an important role in Chelsea's successes in 1998.

After limited appearances for Leeds United in the 1999-2000 campaign, Michael began 2000-01 in the first-team picture, and with all the team's injury problems, he found himself playing right from the off.

His height and strength made him a formidable opponent and he began to show his real form, especially in the 1-0 home defeat of AC Milan.

Unfortunately in the very next game at Derby County, he fell awkwardly on the stroke of half-time injuring his achilles tendon, which caused him to miss the remainder of the campaign.

Michael joined Stoke City in March 2005 with a contract to June 2007.

He joined Reading in January 2007 with a contract to June 2008 that was extended to June 2009 in June 2008.

Michael joined Wycombe Wanderers in July 2009 with a two-year contract that was cancelled in February 2010.

He joined Oxford United in June 2011 with a two-year contract.
