Matt missed the first few games of the 2000-01 campaign after sustaining a broken wrist in a pre-season friendly but went on to feature regularly for Charlton Athletic.
He scored almost immediately after coming on from the subs' bench against Middlesbrough in his first game of the season and then had a run in the starting line-up playing alongside Jonatan Johansson before making way for loan signing Shaun Bartlett.
Matt is a strong aggressive striker who is unselfish, useful in the air and a hard worker.
He joined Norwich City in December 2003 with a contract up to June 2006. The initial fee of £50,000 could rise to £300,000 subject to an agreed criteria.
