Born in France to Moroccan parents, Marouane Chamakh began his career at Bordeaux and moved to Arsenal in the summer of 2010.
He is the first player to score in six consecutive Champions League games.
He provided Arsenal with a lot of extra options in attack, not least his aerial ability, and established himself quickly as a first choice.
Marouane joined Crystal Palace in August 2013 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2016 in July 2014.
He joined Cardiff City in October 2016 with a contract to January 2017.
