Marcus Gayle

Marcus continued to remain popular with the Wimbledon faithful in 2000-01 and was a regular in the line-up before completing the surprise move of the year to Rangers in March.

A versatile player who can either take a left-midfield role or play up front, he is particular effective in the air and his skills are equally useful when helping the defence or leading the attack.

Having enjoyed a long career as an exciting attacker, Marcus similarly impressed when he was switched to centre-back soon after his move to Watford.

Marcus originally returned to Brentford in March 2005 on non-contract terms.
He subsequently agreed a deal with the Bees to the end of the 2005-06 season in May 2005.
