When Alan Rogers was injured in November 2000, Keith Foy stepped in to fill the vacant left-wing-back position for Nottingham Forest and went on to retain his place until early in the New Year.

A promising youngster who was very comfortable defending, he had plenty of skill on the ball and liked to push forward down the flank to send crosses into the penalty box.

Previously capped by the Republic of Ireland at Under-18 level, he made his debut for the Under-21s in the 3-0 victory over Estonia at the beginning of June.
