A product of Brentford's youth team, Jay Tabb was one of several youngsters drafted in to the senior squad following the 6-0 defeat at Swansea City in the final week of the 2000-01 season and he made his debut in the penultimate game against Luton Town.
He gave an accomplished performance and also featured as a substitute for the whole of the second half in the final game against Bury.
Jay's contract was extended to June 2006 in March 2005.
He joined Coventry City in June 2006 with a two-year contract.
Jay joined Reading in January 2009 with a contract to June 2011 that was extended to June 2012 in April 2011.
After a loan spell, he joined Ipswich Town in July 2013 with a two-year contract.
In addition to the details shown below, whilst an unused substitute, Jay was sent-off at half-time of Reading's League Championship Play-Off Final against Swansea City at Wembley on 30 May 2011 for foul and abusive language.
