Jamie Vardy played for Sheffield Wednesday during his youth career.

He joined Leicester City in May 2012 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2018 in August 2014, to June 2019 in February 2016, to June 2020 in June 2016, to June 2022 in August 2018, to June 2023 in August 2020 and to June 2024 in August 2022.

By scoring at Newcastle United on 21 November 2015, Jamie equalled the record for scoring in ten consecutive Premier League games.

The feat was previously achieved by Manchester United's Ruud Van Nistelrooy in 2003 when, coincidentally, his tenth game of the run was also at St James' Park.

----- In the pre-Premier League era, Stan Mortensen scored in each of Blackpool's 11 games in the top division (old League Division One) between 3 February 1951 and 7 April 1951, in part of a run when he scored in all 15 league games that he played in for the Tangerines between 23 December 1950 and 21 April 1951.

----- The all-time record for the top division that only features every league game played by the club is 12 by Jimmy Dunne for Sheffield United from 24 October 1931 to 1 January 1932. That was part of a run when he scored in all 13 of 13 league games he played in.

----- Elsewhere in the Football League, Tom Phillipson scored in all 13 of Wolverhampton Wanderers' games in old League Division Two between 6 November 1926 and 9 February 1927.
