Another young player to come up through the ranks at Crewe, James featured in a handful of first-team games in the early part of last season but found it difficult to claim a regular place in the squad. He eventually moved on loan to Dr Martens League club Halesowen Town in March and was released at the end of the campaign. He is a young midfield player who is skilful on the ball and works hard.
