Jamel Lawrence is the nephew of former Gloucestershire and England cricketer, David 'Syd' Lawrence.
He was selected on Cheltenham Town's subs bench for the first time on 20 September 2014 in a League Two game against Dagenham & Redbridge.
Jamal signed his first pro contract with the Robins in January 2015. It ran to June 2017 but he was made available for transfer in May 2015.
