Nolan signed from Sheffield Wednesday during the 2000 close season, Nolan was a regular for Bradford City in the first half of last season but was then sidelined by a bad knee injury. Although he returned to fitness within a couple of months he had to wait until the closing games to get back in the first team. Out of contract in the summer it was unclear where he would be playing in the 2001-02 campaign at the time of writing. A versatile defender who can play in either full-back position, Nolan made added two more caps for Northern Ireland during the season.
