Graham Potter joined York City in July 2000 and featured regularly for the Minstermen in 2000-01. He looked particularly strong when playing in the left-wing-back role where his pace was effective and he also showed he could deliver useful crosses from free kicks and corners. He took time to get used to the hurly burly of the Third Division but, after a spell out through injury, he returned to find his best form in the closing weeks of the campaign.
He scored three goals in 2000-01, netting a dramatic last-minute equaliser direct from a corner at Torquay United in April which ensured that City retained their Football League status.
Graham was made available for transfer by Boston United in November 2003.
