A tremendously talented ball player, great passer, either wide or central, Strachan proved a true United style pedigree. Later top manager. Strachan also played under manager Alex Ferguson at Aberdeen during their highly successful run in Scottish football, winning a host of trophies. From United he moved to Leeds where he won promotion (1989-90) then the League title (1991-92).
