Having spent the 1999-2000 campaign as understudy to regular 'keeper Mark Ovendale, Gareth began 2000-01 as second choice to new signing Mickael Menetrier at Bournemouth.
However, he finally made his breakthrough at the beginning of October and went on to establish himself as first choice in the line-up.
A fine prospect he produced several outstanding performances and matured as the season progressed.
Gareth argeed a new two-year deal with the Cherries in June 2006.
He was made available for transfer in August 2007.
Gareth joined Yeovil Town as goalkeeping coach in January 2011 and was subsequently registered as a player.
