A recent addition to the squad he played for domestic team Enyimba and helped them win the League in 2001. He made his international debut in September 2000 against Namibia and made the squad for the African Nations' Cup Finals in Mali. At club level he moved to Maccabi Haifa late in 2001 and then went on loan to English club Portsmouth but could not gain a work permit. He is a tall battling central defender but does sometimes cause problems with his poor tackling.
