David James

David's career began at Watford in 1988, before securing a £1million move to Liverpool in 1992.
Unfortunately, he is was haunted by some inconsistent displays during his Anfield tenure but has since worked hard to restore his reputation at Aston Villa, West Ham United and Manchester City.
David won his first full international caps against Mexico at Wembley in 1997.
Following David Seaman's retirement in January 2004, Manchester City immediately signed David with a contract to June 2006 that was extended to June 2007 in October 2005.
David travelled to the World Cup in Germany in 2006 as England's second-choice keeper to Paul Robinson.
He joined Portsmouth in August 2006 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2009 in May 2007 then to June 2010 in March 2008.
David joined Bristol City in July 2010 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2012 in February 2011.
