Eadie featured regularly for Leicester City in the early part of the 2000-01 season but his run in the team was halted by a back injury in October. On his return to fitness he struggled to establish a regular place in the squad, although he was not helped by a knee problem that required surgery in mid-season. He scored for the Foxes at West Ham to clinch City's first victory at Upton Park for over 30 years. A striker or left-sided midfield player, his electrifying pace and direct style can unsettle even the best defenders.
Eadie announced his retirement due to a knee injury in April 2003.
