Danny Tiatto

Date of birth22 May 1973
Place of birthMelbourne

Lightening pace and a mazy dribbler, Danny is predominantly a left wing back but is often employed as an attacking left midfielder.

Signed from Swiss club FC Baden for £300,000 on 15 July 1998, he managed to see off the challenge of Danny Granville for the left back position giving Joe Royle more attacking options midway through the 1999-2000 promotion season at Maine Road.

A strong tackler and good close control, he scored his first Premiership goal in the win at Southampton in October 2000.

A full international for the Socceroos, Danny was a member of the victorious Australian side in the Oceania Nations Cup in June 2000.

Danny joined Leicester City in July 2004 with a two-year contract.
