A promising full-back and Manchester United academy product, Danny found it hard to break into the senior squad and, after loan spells at Sunderland, Ipswich and Blackburn, moved on to Newcastle United to establish a regular firt-team place.
Danny's contract at Manchester United was extended to June 2010 in September 2007.
