An enthusiastic and uncompromising player, Chris's no-nonsense and never-say-die attitude in midfield has endeared himself to the Southampton fans.
At his best when the chips are down, his motivating qualities bring the best out of players around him.
Chris joined Sheffield Wednesday in July 2004 on a two-year contract but he announced his retirement in March 2005 due to a hamstring injury.
