Carlos scored in Argentina's 6-0 defeat of Serbia & Montenegro in their Group C game at the 2006 World Cup finals.
He joined West Ham United in August 2006 with a four-year contract.
Carlos joined Manchester City in July 2009 with a five-year contract.
When Carlos Tevez arrived at West Ham in August 2006 it raised considerable controversy, his 'owners' being not a club but a franchise. After a season with the Hammers, United signed him on loan for two seasons. Tevez is a powerful striker, 100% committed and he proved very popular at Old Trafford. However as the loan period ended, United were loathe to pay the fee demanded by the franchise and Tevez moved on to Manchester City, for a fee believed to be as high as £47 million.
