May signed from Fulham in April 2001 and joined the Academy side.
He made his debut in August 2001 against Blackburn Rovers where he scored a debut goal.
He finished the season as the top scorer for the Under-17 team.
May played for the Under-19 team in 2001-02 scoring seven goals and managed to appear for the reserve team.
He made the bench for the senior team against Gillingham.
May's contract at Millwall was extended to June 2007 in May 2006.
After a loan spell, he joined Scunthorpe United in January 2008 with a contract to June 2010.
