Sibierski's contract at Manchester City was extended to June 2007 in October 2005.
He joined Newcastle United in August 2006 with a one-year contract.
Signed in the closing minutes of the summer 2006 transfer window, after initial scepticism, Sibierski soon became a firm favourite at Newcastle especially as he was forced to play out of preferred position in a forward role mainly due to Michael Owen's injury absence.
Sibierski joined Wigan Athletic in July 2007 in a two-year deal.
