Having joined Tottenham Hotspur midway through the 1999-2000 campaign, Anthony spent some 15 months in the reserves before finally making his senior debut when he came on from the subs' bench in the 2-1 defeat at Derby County in March 2001.
He was then included in the starting line-up at Arsenal when an injury-ravaged side kept the Gunners at bay for 70 minutes before finally going down 2-0 and featured regularly in the closing weeks of the campaign.
A tall central defender with lightning pace, Anthony signed a new three-year contract with Spurs in June 2006.
After a brief loan spell, he joined Hull City in August 2008 with a three-year contract.
After a season on loan, Anthony joined Crystal Palace in August 2011 with a one-year contract.
