Andy Dawson
| Born | 20 October 1978, Northallerton |
| Nationality | English |
| Weight | 65 kg |
| Height | 1.75 m |
| Position | Defender/Left back |
Scunthorpe United's left-back continued to look one of the best in Division Three during 2000-01 with his strong defensive tackling plus his ability to get forward at every opportunity.
He also became something of a free-kick expert during the campaign with four goals from just outside the box, including a crucial strike in the FA Cup victory over First Division Burnley.
Apart from injuries and suspensions, he was an ever-present for the Iron.
He was voted 'Player of the Year' by the club's supporters.
Andy's contract at Hull City was extended to June 2007 in October 2004, to June 2008 in June 2006, to June 2010 in January 2008, to June 2012 in January 2011 and to June 2013 in April 2012.
