Andy's contract at Newcastle United was extended to June 2012 in March 2009 and to June 2015 in October 2010.
The joint leading scorer in Newcastle's Championship-winning season, Andy proved to be a vibrant successor to Alan Shearer in the famous Toon No. 9 shirt. Made his senior England debut in November 2010.
Andy joined Liverpool in January 2011 with a contract to June 2016 and for a fee of £35million - a new record for a British player.
