Alfredo Di Stefano

Nicknamed “Saeta Rubia” (“The blond arrow”); Di Stefano was the greatest player of the Real Madrid side which won the first five editions of the European Champions league.

Di Stefano was a versatile forward who, thanks to his endurance, tactical intelligence and his ability to score goals, can be considered one of the greatest players of all time.

Di Stefano was a part of three national teams (Spain, Argentina and Columbia) but never played in a World Cup. He was twice awarded the European Ballon d’or (1957 and 1959), was eight times Spanish champion with Real Madrid and five times top scorer of the Spanish championship.

Di Stefano is one of Real Madrid’s highest scorers of all time with 216 goals in 282 league matches between 1953 and 1964.

In his career he scored 514 goals in 701 official games.
