About 30 first team appearances to his credit. A series of niggling injuries restricted Alan to just one league start for Stockport County last term and apart from a couple of outings from the subs' bench he failed to make the first-team squad. A striker who can play down the middle or wide on the right-hand side he was pushed down the pecking order at Edgeley Park following the arrival of Finnish international Shefki Kuqi and then former Ayr United marksman Glynn Hurst. A pacy striker who holds the ball up well he was released in the summer before joining non-league Burton Albion.
