After beginning the 2000-01 campaign with West Ham United's reserve team, Adam joined Notts County on loan in an extended deal that kept him at Meadow Lane until the end of the season.
Having previously featured at wing back or full back, he was mostly used by the Magpies in a more forward role wide on the right-hand side of midfield where although a little inconsistent he produced some devastating performances.
He is a very promising youngster with lightning pace and the ability to turn defenders inside out with his skill on the ball.
Earlier in the season, he was capped for England Under-21s when he appeared in the friendly against Georgia.
He later represented St Kitts and Nevis at full international level.
Following an impressive loan spell at Leyton Orient, Adam agreed to join Peterborough United at the end of the 2001-02 season.
His Posh contract was extended to June 2007 in January 2005, then to June 2009 in January 2007.
He was made available for transfer in May 2008.
Adam's contract was cancelled shortly afterwards and he joined Brentford with a one-year contract.
