Final league position 2020-21: 2nd Manchester United remained unbeaten in their away games throughout a league season for the first time in their history. They became the third team to remain unbeaten away from home in a top division season after Preston North End in 1888-89 in League Division One and Arsenal in 2001-02 and 2003-04, both Premier League. The Red Devils became the second team in Europe's top five divisions to remain unbeaten in away games in a season but not win the title after Perugia in Italy's Serie A in 1978-79. Anthony Elanga became the 19th teenager to score in the Premier League for United; the most players at a club in the competition except for Arsenal (20).
