League Position: 9th West Ham United had now kept three consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League for the first time since December 2015. The Hammers had now taken 1,001 points from their 804 games in the Premier League; they became the tenth team to reach the 1,000 points mark. West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic said: "We had a game plan, but the way we did it was magnificent. A great team display in terms of character and determination. It was an important one for them and us, and under the lights on a Friday night, against them - you can't beat that feeling."

Comments:

League Position: 2nd This defeat ended Tottenham Hotspur's run of nine consecutive league wins; their best such sequence since 1960. With only three games left to play, this was Spurs' first defeat in the 2016-17 season to a side who started the day in the bottom of the half of the Premier League table. This was their 900th all-time away league defeat (played 1,990). Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino said: "When you are fighting for the title you need to try not to concede this type of goal. After that we showed a little bit of desperation to arrive quickly into the box, and we tried to play long balls. The reality is that we didn't score, not that we had a bad performance."
