Comments:

League position: 16th This was new manager David Moyes' first game of his second spell in charge. This was the first time that West Ham United had won a home game in the Premier League by a margin of four goals or more since a 4-0 win against Aston Villa at Upton Park on 12 September 2005. The Hammers avoided equalling their club record of five consecutive home league defeats that had stood since April 1931 in League Division One. Mark Noble had now scored in a game in the Premier League in each of the last 14 years. Manchester United's Ashley Young was the only other player who could achieve the same feat in this season. Aaron Cresswell was initially shown a red card after 75 minutes but was subsequently downgraded to a yellow card following a VAR review.

Comments:

League position: 18th AFC Bournemouth had now dropped into the relegation zone after taking fewer points than any other team in the last ten rounds of games in the Premier League (four points; won at Chelsea and a draw against Arsenal). The Cherries had now scored only two goals in the last seven games in the Premier League. This was the first time they had lost a game in the Premier League by a margin of four or more goals since a 5-1 loss at Arsenal on 27 February 2019.
