Comments:

League position: 10th Gareth Barry equalled Ryan Giggs' competition record of 632 appearances in the Premier League and became the first player to start 600 Premier League games. This was Tony Pulis' 100th Premier League game in charge of the Baggies, so becoming the first Albion manager to reach this milestone. Only Southampton (13) and Manchester United (12) had now been involved in more goalless draws in the Premier League than West Bromwich Albion (ten) since Tony Pulis took over in January 2015. West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis said: [On Gareth Barry's record] "It is a wonderful achievement, we have only just had him a few weeks. I have always rated him as a player but you don't realise how good he is until you actually work with him. Managers who have had him for longer periods are better versed talking about Gareth than myself, but he has been absolutely fantastic for us. He is a great lad off the pitch, he has mixed in really well with the rest of the lads and has been our best player in nearly all the games we have played so far. He is a top person and a top player. You don't play that many games without being extremely useful."

Comments:

League position: 18th West Ham United avoided losing four consecutive top division away games for the first time since 1960. They had now kept two clean sheets in their last 19 away games in the Premier League. The Hammers had now won one of their last 11 away games in the Premier League (lost six). West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic said: "It wasn't a great game of football. To get more - the three points we were looking for - the quality in the last third was missing. I have no complaints, it's been a good week for us. To have another clean sheet, to get a point away from home, you can't be too negative about it."
