Comments:

League position: 15th West Bromwich Albion had now won just one of the last five home games against Everton (lost three). The Baggies were aiming to keep a fourth consecutive top division clean sheet for the first time since March 1983. This was the first time that Albion boss Tony Pulis had lost a Premier League game after his team had held a two-goal lead. West Brom had now won only three of the 23 Premier League games they had played on a Monday.

Comments:

League position: 5th Everton's only previous comeback to win a Premier League game from two goals behind was the famous 3-2 win on the final day of the 1993-94 season against Wimbledon at Goodison Park that preserved their top-flight status. They remained unbeaten away from home after six games in all competitions in 2015-16. The Toffees had failed to score in three of their four preceding Premier League games. Everton remained unbeaten in the last 16 Premier League games they have played on a Monday (won eight).
