Comments:

League position: 8th Etienne Capoue's opening goal was timed at 33 seconds. It was the first time that Watford had scored in the first minute of a Premier League game. This was the first time that the Hornets had beaten the reigning league champions since 6 December 1986 when they beat Liverpool in League Division One. They had now gone four consecutive home games without defeat in the same Premier League season for the first time since November 2006.

Comments:

League position: 14th Leicester City became only the third reigning champions to start a Premier League season without a win in their opening six away games (also Leeds United in 1992 and Blackburn Rovers in 1995). This was Claudio Ranieri's 50th Premier League game in charge of the Foxes (won 26 and lost nine). Robert Huth made his 300th Premier League appearance so becoming the first German player to reach the milestone.
