Comments:

Wales 26-man squad included eight survivors from the successful UEFA European Championship squad in 2016; Joe Allen, Gareth Bale, Ben Davies, Chris Gunter, Wayne Hennessey, Aaron Ramsey, Danny Ward and Jonny Williams. Wales had now scored more than one goal in one of their 14 games so far in the 2020-21 season. Wales had now won four and lost two of their nine games under interim manager Rob Page.

Comments:

Switzerland had now scored more than one goal in one of their games at the UEFA European Championships (played 14). Vladimir Petković had now become the second manager to lead Switzerland at three consecutive major tournaments; also Kobi Kuhn at the FIFA World Cup in 2006 and UEFA European Championships in 2004 and 2008. Mario Gavranović scored after 85 minutes but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review due to an offside decision.
