Comments:

League position: 2nd Tottenham Hotspur had now won nine consecutive league games for the first time since October 1960. Spurs had now scored 71 goals in a league season for the first time since 1985-86 in League Division One (74). Harry Kane became the first Tottenham Hotspur player to score in five consecutive North London derbies in the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino said: "To be above Arsenal for the first time in 22 years is fantastic for our fans. It was a very important game and it was a complete performance. The race for the title is down to four points and we will see what will happen."

Comments:

League position: 6th Arsenal had now lost five of their last six away games in the Premier League, with the only win coming at relegation-threatened Middlesbrough. The Gunners had now won only one of their ten games against other teams in the top seven so far in this Premier League season (lost six). They were now one of six teams who remained without an away win at one of the current top 12 teams so far in this Premier League season. Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said: "Spurs deserved to win, we have to accept that and analyse it. It is very disappointing, but the target at the beginning of the season is not to finish above Spurs, it is to win the league. They deserve it. We have a cup final to play, we have to fight for a place back in the top four. We couldn't afford to lose the game."
