League position: 13th Southampton had now become the first team to concede 30 or more goals in the first 13 home games in the top division since Ipswich Town in League Division One in 1963-64 (31). They had now lost three of their last four games in the Premier League; as many as in their preceding 11 games in the division. Ex-Claret Danny Ings became the fifth player to score 15 or more goals in a season in the Premier League for the Saints and the first since current Burnley player Jay Rodriguez in 2013-14.
