Comments:

League position: 3rd Manchester City were now unbeaten in their last 12 home games in the Premier League for the first time since December 2012. City had now lost one of their last 16 games in the Premier League (won nine). They had now scored three or more goals in 11 of their 37 games so far in this Premier League season. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said: "It is in our hands to finish third so it is the best thing. To finish in front of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, it means a lot. Maybe next season, hopefully, we can do better."

Comments:

League position: 9th West Bromwich Albion now had the worst record in the Premier League since the beginning of April; two points from eight games and failed to score in six. With 45 points from 37 games, the Baggies could not now reach their club record of 49 points in a Premier League season (2012-13). This was Albion's 800th away defeat in the top division (played 1,534). West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis said: "They deserved to win tonight. Once they got their noses in front, they're a difficult team to pull back. The two quick-fire goals killed us. When the third one went in, you're looking down the barrel."
