Comments:

League position: 4th Manchester City became the eighth team to win 200 home games in the Premier League (played 382). City became the second Premier League team to score 100 goals in all competitions in this season (also Arsenal). This was David Silva's 300th appearance for City. The Citizens had now benefited from five own goals in this Premier League season (more than any other team), including one in both games against the Tigers. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said: "It was important for us to win after many days without a win. We started well and created chances and we had the right attitude."

Comments:

League position: 17th Hull City had now taken only two points from their last 15 away games in the Premier League. The Tigers failed in their attempt to win three consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since October 2008. They had now scored three goals in their last 12 away games in the Premier League. Hull City manager Marco Silva said: "We reacted well after the first goal and had a chance to score but they scored after half-time and that was key. It is in our hands, we have six games to go and we will work hard. Since I came here I was confident and I have passed that on to our players."
