Comments:

Input amendment [23.03.2015] - Goalscorer changed from Roger Hunt to an own goal by Eddie Clayton. NB Research by the lfchistory.net revealed that the goal, which was widely reported as being credited to Roger Hunt, was clearly a shot by Willie Stevenson that was deflected by Eddie Clayton. At no point in the sequence did Hunt touch the ball. The evidence is shown in this clip of the game from BBC TV's Match of the Day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdRer69cDbY&t=11 (The goal is at 2.52) This means that Roger Hunt scored a total of 285 league and cup goals for Liverpool.
