Comments:

League position: 21st Unused substitutes: Ciaran Toner and Adrian Littlejohn Although many sources credited Lincoln City's goal to Greg Pearson, as confirmed by the following statement on the club's official web site, it was subsequently established that the scorer was Gary Taylor-Fletcher: "Although the Imps' stoppage time effort was initially credited to Greg Pearson, Taylor-Fletcher was quick to claim the goal saying that Pearson's effort hit a visiting defender on the line before rebounding off his nose and into the back of the net. This was backed up by Pearson and, when both players watched the goal on the match video after the game, it was agreed that it would stand as Taylor-Fletcher's sixth of the season." By scoring in each of their first six games of a season, it meant that Gary had equalled the club record set by Hugh Robertson in 1898.
