League position: 18th All three of Oumar Niasse's Premier League goals for Hull City had been scored when coming on as a substitute. The Tigers had now taken 102 points from their 90 home games in the Premier League. They had now won five of their last six games at KCOM Stadium in all competitions. Alfred N'Diaye was booked in the fourth minute of added time in the first-half. Hull City manager Marco Silva said: "In the first-half we had chances, and in the second-half we improved our attitude and scored two goals. It is a fair result for us. We work two systems and the players know what we want."

League position: 16th Swansea City had now conceded 61 league goals so far in this season. No side had yet to concede 60 or more goals at this stage of a Premier League season (28 games) and go on to avoid relegation. The Swans had now not drawn a Premier League game since the 1-1 draw at Everton on 19 November 2016 (played 16). They had now conceded 17 goals in the Premier League since 3 January 2017; only AFC Bournemouth (23) had conceded more in the same period. Martin Olsson was booked in the fourth minute of added time in the first-half. Alfie Mawson scored in the first minute of added time in the second-half. Swansea City manager Paul Clement said: "The way we defended was not good enough. For long periods we looked like we were in control of the game and we were creating opportunities on the counter-attack."
