Comments:

League position: 15th This was only Hull City's second win in 20 meetings with Liverpool in all competitions (lost 13). They had failed to score in three of their last four Premier League games against the Reds. This was the first time the Tigers had kept back-to-back clean sheets in the Premier League since October 2013. Michael Dawson's goal was his first for Hull City and his first since New Year's Day in 2013 for Tottenham Hotspur against Reading in the Premier League.

Comments:

League position: 5th This game took place 25 years to the day since Liverpool clinched the most recent of their 18 league titles with a 2-1 win against Queens Park Rangers at Anfield in League Division One. The Reds had kept a clean sheet in seven of their last eight away games in the Premier League. Liverpool had now scored 47 goals in their 34 Premier League games in 2014-15, that was 46 fewer than at the same stage last season. Jordan Henderson and Simon Mignolet both made the 50th competitive appearance of the season, so became the first Premier League players to play 50 games in all competitions in 2014-15. Liverpool had now lost all seven of the Premier League games when they have been losing at half-time in this season. Having now taken only four points from the last 15 available, the Reds were seven points adrift of the Champions League places with four games to play. Around a thousand Liverpool supporters boycotted this game in a protest about ticket prices.
