Comments:

League position: 20th Huddersfield had now set a new club record of eight consecutive league defeats. The previous record of seven in a row had been set from 6 December 1913 to 1 January 1914 in League Division Two and from 8 October to 19 November in 1955 in League Division One. Town also equalled their club record of four consecutive home defeats in the top division which was set in January 1935 in League Division One. In their 21st game, Steve Mounié became the first recognised forward to score for the Terriers in this Premier League season. It was his first goal in his last 20 games in the division.

Comments:

League position: 16th Burnley had now won consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since September 2018. It was also their third win in their last 14 games in the division. The Clarets had now taken eight points from their 11 away games so far in this Premier League season. They had now won an away game in the Premier League in the month of January for the first time (drawn two, lost six). Chris Wood scored his 100th league goal in this game (14 in the Premier League, 78 in the League Championship and eight in League One). He had now scored seven league goals against Huddersfield Town; more than against any other team. Robbie Brady was the first Clarets player to be sent-off in a Premier League game since Ashley Barnes at Hull City on 25 February 2017; the longest spell without having a player dismissed amongst the current Premier League teams.
