League position: 11th Romelu Lukaku had now scored 31 goals in 2015. He therefore became the first Everton player to reach the 30-goal mark in a calendar year since Bob Latchford in 1977. Romelu had now scored 11 goals in his last ten appearances to move level with Jamie Vardy of Leicester City on 15 goals as the Premier League's top scorer in the 2015-16 season. The Toffees had now not won at home since a 4-0 victory over Aston Villa on 21 November 2015. John Stones was booked in the final moments of normal time for a foul in the penalty area, with the resulting spot-kick being converted.
