He become the first manager to take charge of seven Premier League clubs and had now won five of his first Premier League games in charge (lost one). The Toffees had now won 14 home games in the Premier League in 2017; only Arsenal (15) had won more. They had now lost only one of their last 21 Premier League games against newly promoted teams (won 11).
