Comments:

This was N'Golo Kante's second goal for Chelsea; both had been scored against Manchester United. This was the first time that Chelsea had knocked the FA Cup holders out of the FA Cup since 1966. The Blues had now won ten of their last 11 home games in the FA Cup.

Comments:

This was the first time that Manchester United had lost an FA Cup away tie in the FA Cup since their 1-0 defeat at Chelsea in 2013. The Red Devils had progressed in ten of their preceding 13 FA Cup quarter-finals. Although this was the first FA Cup quarter-final that Manchester United's former Chelsea manager José Mourinho had lost, he had now not reached a semi-final in this competition since 2006-07.
