Comments:

As confirmed by the club's official web site, although shown as an own goal by many sources, Arsenal's second goal should be credited to Nicklas Bendtner: "Arsenal’s second goal in their 3-1 victory against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, January 3 has been officially awarded to Nicklas Bendtner. "There was some confusion surrounding the goal after it appeared that Pilgrims defender David Gray had helped turn Robin van Persie’s low cross into the net. "However, the goal has been awarded to Bendtner and it becomes the second FA Cup strike of his career." On his Plymouth Argyle debut, Gray later claimed: "I never knew until after the match that I got credited with a goal until I got a few texts off my mates saying 'well done you've scored on your debut. "I definitely never got a touch on it, which I'm quite disappointed about, because hopefully I'd have defended it a lot better!"
